Reviews

Here are a few reviews that are put up on Amazon, and hopefully I will be adding more as the time flies by.  We’ll stick with this page unless they get bulky and very descriptive with their thoughts (and let me know if you think one is too long)

4.0 out of 5 stars why j.s. riddle is awesome March 10, 2013

“I bought this novel because I read the samples and was hooked,, I love the fact that Tessa isnt just a typical amoral vampire character, but someone who struggles with the human-ness she lost when she became immortal. I was also glad to see a strong female lead, who doesnt wait to be rescued. The lack of TWILIGHTESQUE sparkles and morose, whiny overprivileged teens was a breath of fresh air. I am waiting patiently on a sequel in what appears to be a promising series.”

5.0 out of 5 stars Originality in a vampire novel February 25, 2013

Format:Kindle Edition
“This is a great read! I’ve read other novels on vampires, and yet this one is definitely different…in a good way. Vampires take over the world – wait, you *haven’t* heard this before. Usually they’re in hiding. Not this time…the characters have plenty of background, the action is well-written and surprising. This author uses description so well, you could swear you’re in the same room with the characters. The plot keeps moving along. I’m looking forward to a second book.”

This review is from: Rise of a Queen (The Vampire Realm 1) (Kindle Edition)

“All will love the vampire queen. One of the best vampire books I have read. Emma was a lost human, but was rescued by her vampire lover Greco, who changed her. With the death of her beloved husband, she seeks out her killer and takes her rightful place as Queen. Many moons past as she finds her human family to live under her rule. This book will excite you to the very core.”

To Celebrate my 3 year move – repost of The House Where the Things Go Bump in the Night

Otherwise known as my house.  The one I painstakingly sweated tears and blood to get in time to move, the one that brought me to a better place to live, the one that brings old charm into a beautifully old neighborhood, and the best place I have ever rented.  Mind you, this place was built […]

The Death of a Character: To Mourn or Not to Mourn

I was asked a question earlier by someone I find both wise, endearing, and completely talented in all that she does.  Her question has been bouncing around in my mind and I realize that my answer to her was very swift and two dimensional so maybe I should expand a little on the subject.  The […]
